The Manchester School District provides a limited number of Side By Side openings in which typically developing children are taught in the same classroom with students identified with educational disabilities. The Selma Deitch Early Learning Program is committed to providing a developmentally appropriate curriculum for all the children who attend its classes. Our program has a high staff to student ratio, and our curriculum focuses on all aspects of development: cognitive, language, fine motor, gross motor and social/play skills.
A limited number of seats in the low-cost Side By Side Program are open to children of families residing in any Manchester school neighborhood. A developmental screening is required as part of the application process.
Children must be 3 years old on or before September 30th of the start of the school year to attend the morning class.
